This book is the result of an honest and humble attempt to record the brief history of the Chamberlain family, in such a way that those who follow have some record of the pioneering spirit of earlier days in Taranaki.

Its compilation has taken much time, labour, and research, but this has been offset by the willing help of members of various branches of the family.
