We have compiled what information was available to complete an overview of George and Emma Hawkins and their descendants- from the roots of their beginnings to the present day. Pieces of information of old homes, paintings, photographs, sketches and invariably old tales have been put together like an old jigsaw puzzle. Perhaps this exploration back into time will be of help to others who wish to elaborate on stories or complete the uncompleted.
A great deal of research and patient investigation is involved. It was through the commitment and efficiency of the committee and spouses that this composition and the highly successful reunion of 1991 was achieved. More people have assisted than could be individually acknowl-
edged in these pages.
