A History of the Trustee Banks Association
The history of the association is inextricably linked with the history of the banks which have been its members, and while the association was not established until 1932, it is important to recall that the five founder banks had been operating for a lengthy period – the oldest for 85 years and the youngest for 66 years – when formal recognition was first given to the advantages which might flow from some form of alliance for the sharing of knowledge and experience.
